Chief Instructor – Sensei Frank – 4th Dan

Sensei FrankSensei Frank began studying karate in 1974 in the UK, was awarded his 1st Dan in 1980 by the Chief Instructor of the Thames Karate Federation the late Sensei Ray Fuller, and currently holds the rank of 4th Dan.  His first teacher, Paul Masters, was the former Chief Instructor of the British Karate Federation and a student of the late Vernon Bell. Widely regarded as the father of modern-day karate in Britain, Vernon Bell was the first Briton to be awarded a karate black belt in 1957. Sensei Frank also attends the Shotokan Karate Institute of New Zealand for lessons with Sensei Shahab. Sensei Frank has been married for 25 years to his life’s partner and best friend Kim, and together they have four grown up children.

Assistant Head – Sensei Henry – 3rd Dan

Sensei HenrySensei Henry started his karate in 1999 in Hermanus South Africa and currently holds the rank of 3rd Dan having been awarded his 1st Dan in 2004 by the Chief Instructor of The World Shotokan Karate-Do Federation of South Africa, Sensei Nigel Jackson. Affiliated to the same Federation in Japan under Chief Instructor Sensei Hitoshi Kasuya.
